WAUCHOPE SHOW SOCIETY SHOWGIRL
The showgirl competition,
which is held annually throughout the state, aims to find a young woman
to act as an ambassador for rural NSW. Her role involves many official and informal duties, both at the Sydney Royal
Easter Show and during her travels within NSW and overseas as the showgirl
representative.
The contestants for showgirl
competitions are judged on personality, confidence ambition and life
goals, general knowledge, rural knowledge and presentation and speech.
Showgirl finalists are also
asked to demonstrate knowledge of their local community and current affairs
and apart from their potential ambassadorial qualities, showgirl contestants
are also judged on their involvement in, and experience of, rural affairs.

HASTINGS VALLEY WAUCHOPE SHOWGIRL
Entrants should be aged between 18 & 24
years as at May 1st 2011.
Hastings Valley Wauchope Showgirl Judging involves a I5-minuet
interview with 3 judges, on the 14th of April Times are negotiable,
followed by dinner & a
short interview before the assembled family & friends. Interview will be about things you have written in your entry form.
Entrants will be guests of the Wauchope Show Society
Family & friends are invited
to the judging dinner at Wauchope Country Club on 14/04/10. Cost
to be advised.
All contestants will be asked to sell raffle tickets to help
with costs of competition The 2010 Hastings Valley Wauchope Showgirl
will be requested to attend the Zone 1 final. The Zone 1 winner
is asked to attend the state final in Sydney for six days all
expenses paid, were she will be competing for Prizes, this year
worth over $18,000, The state Winner [Royal Easter Showgirl]
will be asked to remain in Sydney during the Royal Easter Show.
The Wauchope Show Society will pay for travel, accommodation
and meals provided by ASC
.
